Welcome to Transition Walthamstow!

We are a community-led action group working towards a happier, healthier and more resilient Walthamstow.

 

Challenges like our changing climate, the rising cost of living and the biodiversity crisis all seem impossible to overcome, but we believe that together we can create a new and better world.

Our work is informed by four overarching themes that we think are important: resilience, community, sustainability and diversity.

An event in St James park with local councillors to shape the future of green spaces and green infrastructure in st James ward. 
Part of the Future Waltham Forest programme

There will be various community growers and organisations, creative activities and conversations, a bouncy castle and children's activities and the chance to win climate resilient and native plants as prizes.
