A directory of ‘green’ businesses in Walthamstow

There are lots of organisations in Walthamstow which are trying to offer a better way of living, to have a more positive effect on the local and wider environment.

However, it’s not always easy to find out what is available. This is where the Green Directory comes in. We want to help you make more informed choices when it comes to where you shop, where you eat, where you spend time and which organisations you support with your hard-earned cash. We have compiled a list of businesses and initiatives that are making the effort to have a positive impact here in Walthamstow.

There are many ways they might be doing this. They could be:

• Cutting down on waste by upcycling, repurposing, repairing, redistributing and recycling

• Moving away from single-use plastic packaging

• Conserving energy or using renewable energy sources

• Reducing transport miles by sourcing locally

• Making it easier for staff to walk or cycle to work
