Creating a community garden
A visioning workshop with Transition Walthamstow – help us turn the TransMission Community Garden into a reality.
Time & Location
20 Jan 2024, 10:00 – 13:30
London, 7-11 Coppermill Ln, London E17 7HA, UK
About the event
Transmission Walthamstow has secured a piece of land next to Mission Grove Primary School to turn into a garden for the whole community. Now we want to get together with you, the local community, to imagine and plan how to transform this space into a garden to grow food, increase biodiversity and create a place for people to gather.
Join us at the garden (2 Mission Grove E17, just behind the closed Wilko store) for 10am, and then head to the Mill (7-11 Coppermill Lane E17 7HA) for a 10.30am start. We will be inspired by community gardens around the world and work togther to creatively workshop a garden for the whole community.
We will provide tea and snacks, feel free to bring some food to eat or share. The event is FREE and is supported by The Mill Community Centre.
This event is free to attend, but please do RSVP as numbers are limited to 20. If you book and can't make it on the day, please do cancel in advance so others can join and we know quantities of materials and snacks we need to buy.
