We meet at the garden on Mission Grove at 10.30am on the Saturday following our main Monday meeting to carry out any necessary gardening work

About the event
Come along to this monthly gardening work day to help out in the TransMission Community Garden. We'll be carrying out any necessary upkeep and general gardening duties, as well as ad hoc tasks as they come up. We'll also be discussing future plans and ideas for the garden.
We start at 10.30am and the work lasts for about two and a half hours. Turn up at any time to join in, find out more about the garden and get to know your local community. There might even be the option to go to the pub afterwards!
Main tasks this month:
- Place and fill the raised beds ready for planting
- Dig some ground beds for future planting
- Plant seeds
Smaller jobs if there's time and capacity include:
- Making signs for the seeds
- Painting the pallet fence
- Pulling out sycamore seedlings
If you have some unlaminated cardboard boxes that could be used as weed suppression and nutrient protection, please bring. Also, shovels and snacks are very welcome.
