2000 Sunflowers
Planting a sunflower meadow in Walthamstow
We’re working with the lovely Hilary at Power to plant 2,000 (or as many as we can fit) at our soon-to-be community garden on Mission Grove. The flowers have been planted in celebration of what Power has achieved so far and will be part of Sun Dance, a solar celebration of flowers, fun and food on 15 July in Lynmouth Road.
After this, we’ll be transporting them to Mission Grove to be planted in the garden, where they can be enjoyed by all throughout the summer. This will take place on 16 July. The week before we’ll be digging over the ground to prepare it for the flowers.
