TransMission Community Garden

Transition Walthamstow’s garden for all in Mission Grove

Transition Walthamstow is currently working on a plot of land located on the corner of Mission Grove and Palmerston Road. We want to transform it from wasteground into a community garden which will be open to all local residents. It will become a place to relax, a way to engage with nature, meet other people and get active outdoors.

It will have raised beds for growing flowers and vegetables, a wildlife area to attract bees, bugs and birds, a pond and a chill-out zone. Transition Walthamstow will hold events on growing your own food, and residents will be able to use the space for their own events. The garden will be free to use.

But we need help! If you want to get involved in any way at all, please do get in touch. Everything from donated garden equipment, to time and effort to transform the garden, to advice on how to create the space will be much appreciated.
