Steering Group set up, meeting date changes, next meeting Fri 27th April

As we approached Transition Walthamstow’s first 6 months of operation, at our last public meeting we reviewed what was working well and what we wanted to change. Whilst many have attended our fortnightly public meetings and we were enjoying the wide ranging discussions, the lack of continuity in attendance meant that we were not making enough progress with developing the group and progressing our projects.

So the 2 biggest changes we have implemented are

  1. Establishing a steering group which meets monthly. For more information about the group see here.

  2. Dropping down to 1 public meeting per month, and from May our public meetings will be on the 2nd Monday of each month (at the Hornbeam Centre).

The Steering Group is planning a film screening once a month for the next 3 months to raise public awareness, and intends to run a series of skillshares or workshops around a variety of topics.

Note that our next meeting is Fri 27th April – see here for more details.

Finally, do check out our blog; so far all have been from Tom Bloor, but other contributors are welcome.
