* Eco-project in Walthamstow is looking for a Volunteering Development Coordinator *
* 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE); £24,943 pro rata; fixed term contract until 31 Jan 16 *
Forest Recycling Project (FRP) is a social enterprise and charity with environmental and social aims, based in Walthamstow in East London. The Paint Place is FRP’s flagship re-use initiative – unwanted leftover paint which would otherwise go to waste, is collected and (following a sorting process) redistributed to people at low cost. All work and activities are supported by volunteers.
City Bridge Trust is providing funding over 2 years (from February 2014), for FRP to enhance its volunteer programme through the Environmental Action Through Volunteering Project (the project). Building on FRP’s experience over many years of working with volunteers, the project aims to develop new approaches to get people involved with our work, maximise the benefits of volunteering, and improve the overall volunteer experience. Volunteers develop skills through activities, capture their own learning & development, and are active in the local community to increase re-use (in particular of paint) and reduce carbon emissions.
FRP is looking for a new Volunteering Development Coordinator to help us successfully shape and deliver this project. We are looking for a self-starter with energy and drive to take our volunteer programme to the next level, who is fully committed to help volunteers get the most out of their volunteer experience.
Applications must be received no later than Wednesday 16 July 2014, 5pm.
Please visit the FRP website www.frponline.org.uk for a full Job Advert and Job Description, including details on how to apply.
